Why we built this
Streaming software was built in 2012, for people with production teams. Solo streamers got the leftovers — five apps glued together, a moderator they can't afford, and chat going feral around hour two. Cohost is the streaming app for the way streamers actually stream now: alone, late at night, and tired.

When can I use Cohost?
We're rolling out alpha invites in waves. Most waitlist signups get in within two weeks. Bigger waves go out after each batch of feedback.
Will it cost money?
Cohost is free during the alpha. Paid plans come later — and waitlist signups get founder pricing locked in for life. We won't bait-and-switch you.
Which platforms does it stream to?
Twitch, YouTube Live, and Kick out of the box, all at the same time. Any service that accepts standard RTMP works too — paste a server URL and stream key.
Do I still need OBS or Streamlabs?
No. Cohost is a complete control room — cameras, screen capture, overlays, scenes, mixer, alerts. The AI is on top, not the entire app.
What hardware do I need?
Anything that runs OBS will run Cohost. NVIDIA GPUs unlock NVENC encoding, which moves the heavy lifting off your CPU and lets you stream at higher quality with no frame drops.
Is the AI cohost optional?
Yes. Cohost works as a regular streaming app even if you turn the AI off. The sidekick is a feature, not a requirement.
Where does my data go?
Voice transcription runs locally via Whisper. Chat moderation runs through our hosted classifier — message text only, never your viewers' personal data. We don't sell anything to anyone.
